We recently assisted lenders in several financing transactions regarding the purchase of cruise ships and tankers. This required close scrutiny of payment mechanisms, releases and registering security in Monaco, such as bank account and share pledges. We also attended several closing meetings to ensure the safe release of various collateral taken over vessels and proprietary assets. We also ascertained the capacity of Monaco counterparties to enter into finance documents and Ship Managers Undertakings in connection with the transactions. For each of those transactions and sometimes on very short notice, we teamed up efficiently with other international law firms in charge of coordinating the financing on behalf of the lenders.
